Lower Haythog is very old, but you won't find anything crumbling here, except possibly the rhubarb and the only leeks you'll discover are those invitingly placed on the large farmhouse
table. Lower Haythog is a
250 acre working dairy farm, free from traffic and set in its own surroundings, 5 miles north of
Haverfordwest.

It's the home of Bill and
Nesta Thomas.
It's old enough to be mentioned in "Pembrokeshire's Historic
Houses" and welcoming enough to be one of only 51 guest houses recommended in the
1999 edition of "Wales' Great Little
Places", and if you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday fortified by a regular supply of delicious cooking then this is the place to go.

The farmhouse dates back to the 14th century, but has been tastefully modernised and comfortably furnished offering "A traditional
Pembrokeshire welcome".
An attractive conservatory leads you into a welcoming lounge which retains its original charm with its exposed stonework, wooden beams and a brightly burning log fire. En- suite bedrooms, T.V. complimentary tea trays and full central heating for utmost
comfort. As "Taste of Wales Farmhouse Food
award" winners we offer excellent farmhouse cooking
"with a twist within the atmosphere of a lively dinner
party" reflecting a taste of Wales.

You could holiday at Lower Haythog without even leaving the farm, children can watch
Bill milking the cows, or learn to ride on his pony.
Or they can simply play in the gardens on the slide and swings. Those looking for something a little more relaxing can relax in the conservatory with a good book, or just wander around the beautiful garden, a haven for plant lovers.

If you are a nature lover you can take one of the
pleasant walks through the wooded valley.
People return year after year just to do that, and the farm is extremely well place for exploring the whole of
Pembrokeshire, rightly dubbed
"Wales' premier
county". Roads lead out from
Haverfordwest like the spokes in a wheel, and a short
car journey lets you discover the beauties of the coastal path or the delights of
St. David's,
Britain's smallest city.
