    Historical importance abounds in this part of Wales, with a wealth of historic houses, gardens, castles and ruins, dating back many centuries.  The Pentre Ifan Cromlech burial chamber near the town of Newport, holds major historical and cultural importance as it was made from the same local Preseli 'Bluestones' which the famous stone circle of Stonehenge was constructed from many millennia ago.
